Tour Program
Day 1 Arrival Kuching
Meet upon arrival at Kuching International airport and transfer to Hotel
Harbour View. Free time at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 Kuching / Bako National Park (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Drive about 35 minutes to Bako Village. From the village, take about a
25-minute boat ride (depending on the tide) to the park situated in a
peninsula. Bako is one of the best places in Sarawak to see wildlife in
a natural surrounding. The various types of animals that are commonly
spotted at Bako include the proboscis monkeys, silver leaf monkeys, long
tail macaques, wild boars, monitor lizards and numerous species of birds.
Tropical rainforest ranges from mangrove to kerangas (heath forest), tropical
swamp vegetation, cliff vegetation and beach vegetation. There are several
trails inside the park depending on level of fitness and interest. There
is a possibility to swim in the warm waters of the South China Sea by
one of the secluded beaches. This is subject to sea and weather condition.
After dinner go for a night walk. Overnight at the Park Chalet.
Day 3 Bako National Park (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Spend the morning bird watching and observing proboscis monkeys then hike
to the Kerangas plateau. Pitcher plants, orchids, antplants and a variety
of unusual and unique forest vegetation can be spotted. There is a possibility
to swim in the warm waters of the South China Sea by one of the secluded
beaches. This is subject to sea and weather condition. Return for more
bird watching and wildlife viewing activities in the afternoon. After
dinner go for a night walk. Overnight at the Park Chalet.
Day 4 Bako National Park / Kuching (Breakfast / Lunch)
Following breakfast, depart for a final hike on one of the trails spotting
rare migratory birds and searching for the rare and elusive proboscis
monkey, a primate to be found only in Borneo. Return to Kuching mid-afternoon.
Overnight at Harbour View hotel.
Day 5 Kuching / Bandar Seri Begawan (Breakfast)
You will be collected from your Hotel and transferred to Kuching airport
for a short flight to Bandar Seri Begawan. (preferably Royal Brunei BI
858 10:05pm / 11:20pm). Meet upon arrival at Bandar Seri Begawan International
airport and transfer to Riverview Hotel. Free time at leisure and overnight
Day 6 Bandar Seri / Ulu Temburong (Lunch / Breakfast / Dinner)
Pick up from your Hotel in Badar Seri Begawan. You will travel by local
water taxi from Bandar through a network of rivers and channels around
the back of Brunei Bay, passing by dense mangrove islands and possibly
see wildlife searching for food or enjoying the afternoon sun. The journey
will continue you from Bangar, the regional capital of Temburong, to Bukit
Patoi nature reserve where you walk to the top of a walkway to a majestic
view of the surrounding countryside. Dinner and overnight at Rainforest
Lodge.
Day 7 Ulu Temburong / Onward (Breakfast / Lunch)
An early morning start allows you to travel by longboat upstream to the
Ulu Temburong National Park. With the early morning mist still rising
from the forest canopy, you may see some of the many different kinds of
animals that maybe active early in the morning. Climb the canopy towers
to the very top to get one of the most beautiful views of the rainforest
canopy. Travel further upstream to Sungai Apan and explore the jungle
streams to the waterfall. Return back to the National Park entrance by
Longboat or Inflatable Raft for lunch of local specialties beside the
river, swim and relax, before returning back downstream, to our Rainforest
Lodge for afternoon tea and freshen up. Transfer to Bangar to catch a
water Taxi back to Bandar Seri Begawan airport or hotel.
A percentage of the incomes

Monkeys.
